Bars are prestressing concrete wires that have been cut-to-length for its application
in the manufacture of railway sleepers. Their mechanical characteristics are the same as
the corresponding standard indicates for the wires (prEN 10138 or UNE 36094), depending
on their diameter and type.
In view of the adaptation of the bars to the different sleeper manufacturing systems, some of
their features are subject to agreement between user and manufacturer, such as length, depth
and type of indentation, threading, etc.
